ABOUT LTCC
The Lake Tahoe Corvette Club was formed in 1989 by a group of people
from Lake Tahoe and the greater Carson Valley who all shared an
interest in an American heritage: The Chevrolet Corvette.
Starting as a pure social club with a Corvette problem,
LTCC has evolved with an active membership,
increased social calendar, and links/interaction with other clubs.
The highlight of the year is our annual car show. From 2003 through 2006
we held a car show for our own enjoyment and invited other near-by Corvette
clubs to join us. By 2006, more and more Corvette enthusiasts were coming to
our show so we decided that the show in 2007 (our 5th) would be expanded by
increasing the amount of activities and invite Corvette Clubs from all over
the western United States to participate. This would be a great opportunity
to not only enjoy a fun filled weekend but we would donate any proceeds to
local charities. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled at the last minute due
to the Angora Forrest Fire burning in So. Lake Tahoe. Our 6th annual event
was held at the Horizon Casino Resort in South Lake Tahoe June 19, 20, 21, 2008.
A fine time was had by all.
During the year, our other social events include Dine and Drives, weekend
adventures, participation in Hot August Nights, and the Reno Auto Museum.
In 2005, a brick was placed in behalf of the club at the Corvette Museum
in Bowling Green, KY.
In 2007, Lake Tahoe Corvette Club, Inc. was registered as a non-profit
organization dedicated to donating 100% of the proceeds from their annual
Corvettes At Lake Tahoe Car Show to local charities. Even though the 2007
car show was cancelled, a donation of $7,500 was made to the Angora Fire
Fund from participants who donated their registration fees from the
cancelled show. Proceeds from the 2008 car show were donated to Boys and
Girls Club of Western Nevada; Project Mana , a Hunger Relief Agency in
Incline Village, NV and to the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center.
As the Tahoe area is a second home to many, some of our members reside
out of area, and participate with the club when in the vicinity.
New members are always welcome. Check the Calendar of Upcoming Events
on this site for meeting times and locations.
